Volunteer Opportunities


There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available within Windsor-Essex County. Many of these opportunities will fulfill the 40-hour of community volunteer experience that is required in order to obtain an Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

AIDS Committee of Windsor
The AIDS Committee of Windsor is currently accepting volunteers for a variety of positions. The AIDS Committee aims to increase awareness about AIDS through conferences, events and guidelines.

Canadian Diabetes Association – Windsor & District Branch
There are a number of ways to volunteer for the Canadian Diabetes association. First, volunteers may assist by raising awareness about diabetes, its symptoms and its complications . Citizen Advocacy Windsor-Essex
Citizen Advocacy is a non-profit organization that advocates for seniors and peoples with disabilities. Interested volunteers are urged to contact this agency. Placements are allocated on the basis of skill and need.

Habitat for Humanity Windsor Essex

Harmony In Action
Harmony in action is a non-profit charity that aims to serve adults that have a developmental and/or physical disability while helping to develop and maintain their independence.

Meals on Wheels

The YMCA offers volunteer opportunities in the fields of new Canadians programs, including health and fitness recreation, among others.
