Windsor VIA Rail Station

VIA operates trains in all regions of Canada over a network spanning the country from the Atlantic to the Pacific, and from the Great Lakes to Hudson Bay.

Youth Fare

As a youth (18-25) you can save up to 25% with VIA Rail.

As a youth you can qualify for:

To be eligible for the youth fare, you must be between the ages of 18 and 25. Photo ID with proof of age is required at the time of ticket pick-up and must also be shown on board the train upon request.


Student Discount

VIA Rail offers a discount for students travelling by train. As a full-time student, you are eligible for 30% off the adult regular fare in Comfort class (economy). All you need is a proof of age if you're 17 or younger, or an ISIC card if you're 18 or older.

International Student Identity Card (ISIC)

ISIC Card

The ISIC (International Student Identity Card) is recognized around the world. At VIA Rail, the ISIC is the only student ID card that entitles students 18 years of age or older to student fares in Comfort class (economy) and the other classes.

(ISIC is the only student ID card recognized by VIA).
